At the SCA, it is customary to bring your own personal tableware and table decorations, known as Feast Gear.
An earthenware beer mug, a wooden bowl and a spoon are usually sufficient for the first visit to a feast. Of course, the sky’s the limit here, too, as long as your décor stays within the historical framework.
Food:
We will offer historical dishes in the tavern. On Friday this will be a stew. On Saturday we will have a variety of dishes to choose from.
For Saturday and Sunday lunch there will be the possibility to order a snack.
For Mulatsag (feast) on Sunday evening there will be a multi-course meal. The recipes for it come from the book “The Science of Cooking”, a book written by the chef of the Prince of Transylvania in the late 16th century.
Those still there at noon on Monday will be served a hot dish.
Drinks:
The tavern will have soft drinks, wine and beer at cost.
Of course you can also get your own. In Mörbisch there are several pubs, a supermarket, a bakery and a butcher’s shop, just a few minutes walk from the venue.
If you want to participate in meals, please register with the registration form. Payment will be made on site in cash at check-in.
